Jill A. Foster, MD graduated Summa Cum Laude from Augustana College in 1982 before she went on her earn her medical degree from the University of Illinois Medical School, where she also graduated with honors. Her academic honors also included membership in Phi Beta Kappa, Omicron Delta Kappa, Mortar Board, and Alpha Omega Alpha. After an internship at the University of Illinois Hospital, Dr. Foster went on to complete her residency there in the Department of Ophthalmology. She then completed a fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She started her career at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio and then in 2001 moved to Ophthalmic Surgeons and Consultants in Columbus, OH.
Dr. Foster is a fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She is the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Baylis Award for outstanding accomplishments in Cosmetic Surgery, and the Resident Teaching Award at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She has been listed as one of America’s Top Doctors for over 25 years.
In addition to her work at Ophthalmic Surgeons, Dr. Foster is an Associate Clinical Professor at the William H. Havener Eye Center at The Ohio State University and the section chair of Oculoplastic Surgery at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Vice Chair of Ophthalmology at Doctor’s Hospital. She is active in clinical research and teaching and has written and created numerous articles, abstracts, exhibits, and posters and has given a multitude of oral presentations. Her expertise spans a wide array of topics with special interests in Facial Cosmetic Surgery and Pediatric Oculoplastics.
Dr. Foster sees patients at our main location in the Arena District in Columbus, our satellite locations in Westerville and Marysville, Ohio, and at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
