Dr. Jessica Crawford joined Central Ohio Eye and Plastic Surgery Ohio in 2022. She brings extensive expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive facial surgery, having graduated in 2014 from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, followed by medical training at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, where she graduated with high distinction. She completed her Internal Medicine internship and Ophthalmology residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Afterward, she pursued a two-year fellowship in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery, gaining advanced skills and experience in both aesthetic and reconstructive procedures with Dr. Kenneth Cahill, Dr. Jill Foster, Dr. Dan Straka, and Dr. Cameron Nabavi.
During this fellowship she received extensive training in the areas of cosmetic facial surgery including upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid lift), endoscopic brow/forehead lift, facelift, and laser resurfacing techniques to reduce facial wrinkles. She is also trained in the medical and surgical management of many conditions affecting the eyelids, eye socket (orbit), and tear ducts in both adults and children. These include droopy eyelids (ptosis), upper and lower eyelid malposition (ectropion, entropion, retraction), eyelid or periocular skin cancers, orbital tumors and fractures, blocked tear ducts, congenital eyelid malformations, and thyroid eye disease.
Dr. Crawford is passionate about teaching and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University and faculty member at Nationwide Children's Hospital, where she trains future ophthalmologists in oculofacial plastic surgery. She is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Originally from the suburbs of Louisville, Kentucky, Dr. Crawford met her husband in Columbus and is proud to call herself a Buckeye. She loves being part of the Columbus community and is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care.
