Dr. Cameron Nabavi joined Ophthalmic Surgeons & Consultants of Ohio in 2012. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He went on to pursue a career in medicine starting with medical school at the University of California, San Diego followed by ophthalmology residency at the University of California, Irvine. After residency, he completed a two year ASOPRS fellowship in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Alabama, Birmingham under Drs. John Long and Matthew Vicinanzo

Dr. Nabavi serves as a Clinical Assistance Professor at the Ohio State University and is faculty at Nationwide Childrens Hospital where he assists in the oculofacial plastic surgery training of future ophthalmologists. Dr. Nabavi is board certified with the American Board of Ophthalmology and a diplomat of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is also an active member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He serves as an associate preceptor in the training of future oculofacial plastic surgeons. He stays active in research and is currently assessing the value of hydrogen peroxide during eyelid and orbital surgery to reduce bleeding during and bruising after surgery. He also is evaluating the benefit of medical therapeutics in the treatment of thyroid eye disease. Dr. Nabavi has a patient for customized attentive patient care, whether for skin cancer reconstruction or cosmetic facial surgery. He takes pride in his attention to detail and consideration of patient’s goals in their treatment

Dr. Nabavi is originally from coastal Los Angeles and moved with his wife here in 2012. Them and their two children enjoy visiting family back in California, hitting the slopes and adventuring in the mountains all seasons of the year!

Dr. Nabavi is accepting patients at his downtown Columbus office as well as satellite locations in East Columbus and Lima.
