N. Douglas Baker, M.D.

Douglas BakerN. Douglas Baker, M.D., F.A.C.S. earned his bachelor’s degree from Wittenberg University in 1979, where he was inducted into the Wittenberg College Honor Society. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1982. Dr. Baker completed a Flexible Medical Internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital before completing his residency in ophthalmology at The Ohio State University. After his residency, Dr. Baker completed a fellowship in glaucoma at Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Baker is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the Ohio State University. He enjoys teaching ophthalmology residents and fellows in the area of glaucoma patient management and surgery. Dr. Baker is a recipient of the ophthalmology resident Makley-Battles teaching award. He is an active member of the American Glaucoma Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Ohio State Medical Association, the Columbus Ophthalmological and Otolaryngological Society, and the Ohio Ophthalmological Society.

Dr. Baker is the principal investigator for the National Surgical Glaucoma study using the micro lumen shunt by INN FOCUS.
