David M. Lehmann, M.D.

Dr. LehmannDavid M. Lehmann, M.D. graduated Magna Cum Laude from Yale University with a degree in Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry. He went on to earn his medical degree from The Ohio State University, where he won the Eli G. Alcorn prize in Ophthalmology. He completed a Flexible Medical Internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital before undertaking a residency in Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed a glaucoma fellowship with Eye Consultants of Atlanta.

Dr. Lehmann is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University and is actively involved in teaching students. He is a member of the Ohio State Medical Association, the Ohio Ophthalmological Society, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He served as Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Grant Medical Center for more than a decade.

Dr Lehmann works actively with State and National government to help improve the practice of Ophthalmology. He volunteers with the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Eye Care America project to help provide eye care for seniors, and the Columbus Free Clinic. Dr Lehmann is a sub-investigator for a National Surgical Glaucoma study using the micro lumen shunt from INN FOCUS.
