Glaucoma Treatment Options

Glaucoma can be treated with pills, eye drops, laser surgery, or traditional surgery. Vision loss caused by glaucoma is irreversible, so the goal of treatment is only to prevent further vision loss. The good news is, if caught early, glaucoma can be much easier to manage and treat. If diagnosed early on, the patient may not even lose any vision.

InnFocus Microshunt™

ShuntThe InnFocus Microshunt™ is a drainage implant device that helps effectively drain eye fluid and reduce intraocular pressure. This prevents the progression of glaucoma and vision loss. The InnFocus Microshunt™ provides a safe and extremely effective alternative to other glaucoma treatments. The InnFocus Microshunt™ drainage implant consists of a tiny micro-tube, which shunts the aqueous fluid from the anterior eye chamber into a sub-conjnctival flap. The shunt was designed to be thin and soft, conforming to the natural curvature of the eye.

Your doctor will discuss with you the best course of action when it comes to your glaucoma treatment.
