The physicians of Ophthalmic Surgeons & Consultants of Ohio have been participating in cutting edge studies for many years. Our oculoplastic physicians were among the first to research the effects of Botox for therapeutic use. Our glaucoma doctors are participating in a study now that could change the way glaucoma is treated. We believe that clinical research is important for the future of medicine and is improved by including the experience of patients treated in our office. Our extensive database of patients has given us the opportunity to regularly exceed our research goals. We have found that our patients appreciate the opportunity to participate in new treatment studies and we plan to continue to engage in new ideas and studies.
Our practicing physicians are investigators who have the ability to serve our patients and those of our colleagues. Our state-of-the-art facility allows us to identify, enroll, and maintain patient treatments in an ethical and timely manner.
Past studies have included: Botox, Xeomin, Modification of brow position after blepharoplasty, Blepharoplasty and the incidence of dry eye, The use of dermal fat grafts to treat the superior sulcus defect in cosmetic patients, Purse string suture technique for repair of medial ectropion, Causes of lacrimal outflow obstruction in thyroid eye disease, Comparison of Botox and Xeomin for treatment of glabellar lines
